Harry B. Hicks Harry Burch Hicks , 68, east Kansas City, a former Kansas City police detective, died Oct. 12, 1992, at the home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Earp Blue Ridge Chapel; burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
Mr. Hicks was a Kansas City police officer for 30 years, retiring as a detective. He was a member of the Police Benefit Association and the Centurian Club. He served in the Army military police during World War II and also served in the Army reserves, retiring as a chief warrant officer. He was a member of the Leeds Baptist Church. He was born in Minneapolis and lived in this area most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hicks of the home; two sons, Harry C. Hicks and Larry R. Hicks of Kansas City; and five grandchildren.
