GREENWOOD - Funeral services for Robyn Dilley Carver, 50, of Greenwood, a Mississippi Department of Health administrative assistant, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home chapel, Greenwood. She died of cancer May 3, 2005, at Baptist Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville.
Robyn was born on July 16, 1954, to Bettye and Amasa Ovid Dilley Jr. in Charleston, S.C. She was a former resident of Leland and Indianola before moving to Greenwood in 1974. She graduated from Indianola Academy. Robyn was administrative assistant for the District 3 State Health Department for 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Carver of Greenwood; her mother, Bettye Dodd of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Judith Carol Gist of Clarksdale; two brothers, Michael Dilley of Louisville, Ky., and Jeffery S. Dilley of Marks; and one grandson, Gage Carver Gist of Clarksdale.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Jim Miller, Jack Matthews, Larry Jourdan, Nealy Robinson, Richard Carver and Lindsey Meador. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Corley, Dwight Wood, Billy Morrison, Bob Overstreet, Dr. Alfio Rausa and Edward Course.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home, Greenwood.
