Mr. Patrick Henry Anderson, who had been in bad health for some time and had suffered a stroke of paralysis some weeks ago, died suddenly on Wednesday morning at the home of his son, Mr. R. H. Anderson, in College street, this city. He was 73 years old.

His body was taken to Greenwood for burial, the following pallbearers conveying it from the house to the train: Messrs. Frank R. Hunter, Earle Bullock, Dr. W. E. Pelham, Jr., Dr. W. O. Miller, W. W. Cromer, Floyd Bradley, I. H. Hunt and M. L. Spearman.

Mr. Anderson had been making his home in Newberry. He was formerly of Waterloo, Laurens County, where he conducted a large farm for a number of years, but for the past few years had lived with his children. He was a gallant Confederate veteran. News of his death came as a shock to his relatives and friends.

The following children survive: Mr. Herbert A. Anderson, Mrs. W. L. Moore, Mrs. Joe S. Marshall of Greenwood, Mrs. M. L. B. Sturkey of McCormick, Mr. Walter H. Anderson, of Greenwood, Messrs. Paul and Hall Anderson of Newberry, Mr. Ben Anderson of Anderson and Mr. Roy Anderson of Greenwood, and Miss Frances Anderson, who is teaching in the Seneca schools.
