BRIGHAM CITY - Loren 'Larry' L. Andreasen, 70, of Brigham City, died Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Brigham City Community Hospital of heart failure.
He was born Oct. 8, 1922 in Trenton, Utah, a son of Levi Mose and Alice Nielsen Andreasen.
He married Evelyn Mueller, Jan. 21, 1946 in Langdon, North Dakota.
He was reared and educated in Cache County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII.
He had retired from Defense Depot Ogden after 28 years of service where he had received several Superior Performance Awards.
He loved camping, fishing, gardening, horses and being in the outdoors. He also loved a good cup of coffee with his friends at a local restaurant.
He was the kind of man who always gave of himself and never expected anything in return. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving arc his wife of Brigham City; two daughters, Diane Marie Baird and Mrs. Kyle (Cheryl) L. Smith, both of Brigham City; and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving arc a half-brother, Earl Gardner of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a step-brother, Cleve L. Gardner, of Willard; and four sisters, Edith Norene Eldredge, Pearl Stoddard, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Connie S. Coombs, of Fielding, and Ethel M. Merrill, of Salt Lake City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Andreasen, his parents, a brother, a step-brother, and a sister.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Olsen-Myers Mortuary Chapel, Brigham City, with Pastor Lawrence Recla of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiating.
Interment was in the Brigham City Cemetery where military honors were accorded.
