MRS. DELLA COOLEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Della D. Cooley, 79, a former Webster City resident, who died Thursday at the Roberts Care Center in Waterloo, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. David LaMaster officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.
She had resided at the Care Center the past nine months, but had been in ill health the past several years.
Della D. Downs, daughter of Reuben T. and Hattie Cricher Downs, was born Feb. 6, 1900, at Sullivan, Ill. The family moved to Webster City when she was a young girl and she was reared and educated here.
She was married to Byron Srigley, and the couple lived in Omaha, moving to Webster City in 1931.
She was married to Claude Cooley and the family resided in Knoxville, but she later returned to Webster City to make her home.
She is survived by one son, Robert Srigley of Boone; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Cuba Jacobson, Waterloo, Mrs. Helen Bates, also Waterloo, and Mrs. Nellie Naylor, San Diego, Calif.; and one brother, Robert Downs of Webster City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her hubands; and one brother and three sisters.
Shre was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
