Claude Mills, 85, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, January 1, in a Waco hospital. He was born April 16, 1905, in Itasca. He lived in Itasca and the Mayfield community most of his life. He was a retired farmer. He married Jewell Bolton, and she prededed him in death. He was a member of the Walnut Street Baptis Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include: one sister, Allie Waldie of Covington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 3, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro with Paul Owens officiating. Burial was at the Itasca Cemetery.
