Harold died at his home of heart failure. He was born to Clarence Edwin Cotner and Clara Herman and graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1927. After graduating from Rider College in Trenton, NJ, in 1929, with a BS degree, he joined the New Jersey National Guard, where he served 3 years and 3 months with the 112th Field Artillery. He married Winifred Inez Coe on April 8, 1936, in Erie, PA, and worked at Erie Sand & Gravel Company. They moved to San Bernardino, CA, in 1944, where he worked at Kaiser Steel Company as a purchasing analyst and later for City of San Bernardino. He retired in 1976 and Winifred died on November 3, 1976. He married Lucille M. Walgaert December 29, 1980, in California. He was an active member of Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Tucson, AZ, but had been a day patient at Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls for several months. Survivor beside Lucille included: children Harold D. Cotner, Tucson, AZ, Barbara [Kevin] Covert, Idaho Falls, and Beverly [Percy] Green, Idaho Falls; and seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also preceding were his sisters Dorothy and Helen. Burial in Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens in Tucson, AZ.
