Filer Man Passes
Sunday at Home
Filer, July 21- Ruben W. Jones, 59, died at 6:45 p.m.
Sunday at his home in Filer following an extended illness.
He was born May 31, 1893, in Greenville, Texas. and came
to Buhl from Greenville 49 years ago. Part of the time he
resided in Bruneau and in 1948 he moved to Filer. Mr. Jones
was a veteran of World War 1.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Martha Jones, whom he
married Dec. 30, 1920, in Twin Falls; two daughters, Mrs.
Walter Schroeder, Buhl, and Mrs.Phillip Robison, Phoenix
Arizona; one sister Mrs. Pearl Potter, and a brother, M.L. Jones
Bruneau. Three grandchildren also survive.
The body rests at the Albertson funeral home, Buhl, pending word
from relatives.

Final Rites Held
For Ruben Jones
BUHL, July 25- Funeral services for Ruben W. Jones were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist church with the Rev. W.L. Kyles officiating.
Mrs.John Wilson sang two solos, accompanied by Mrs. Don Huston, who also played the prelude and postlude.
Pallbearers were Theodore Pence, William Roberts, Louis
Bulcher, Jess Howerton, Roy Howerton and Claude Crisp.
American Legion services were held at the Buhl city cemetery under the direction of Chriss Hesselholt, commander. Chaplain was Jack Yeiter . Color bearers were Stanley Herzinger Sr.and Harlan See. Color guard was Don Brannen and Saul Moore. The firing squad consisted of Sgt 1/cl Don Parrott, squad leader; Sgt. Norman G. Alexander; Sgt. 1/cl Stanley Herzinger, jr.;Sgt. 1/cl Gerald Nutting ; M/Sgt. William Ambrose; Cpu Ralph Johnson and Sgt.Homer Evans. Buglers were Ormand Smith and Donald Ownby.
