Phurba E. Luellen was born at Corydon, Iowa, Feb. 28, 1874, and died at Des Moines October 25, 1921, at the age of 47 years, 7 months and 25 days. In 1903 she united with the Baptist church o f Mount Pleasant No. 2, while living in Missouri and continued in that relation until death. She was married 26 years ago to M. A. Consolver, and to this union were born 9 children, two of whom have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, M. A. Consolver, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie James of Corydon, Mrs. Lucy Brewer of Floris, Ia., seven children, they being: Mrs. Neva Walker, Lee, Ray, Jessie, Claudia, Lawrence and Holley, all of Des Moines.
The most of Mrs. Consolver's life was spent in or around Corydon. Her untimely death came as a result of a long and painful affliction which neither medicine nor surgery was able to cure. The many Friends and relatives share in sympathy with the bereaved husband and family.
The remains were laid to rest at the Hogue cemetery north of town last Thursday, Pastor G. W. Fogg of the Baptist church officiating and conducting the service in the open air at the cemetery.
