Arnold O. Bessman was born on Saturday; September 6, 1924 in Hampton; Franklin County, Iowa. He was the son of: Otto and Amanda (Vierkandt) Bessman. He attended rural schools at Buckeye; Hardin County, Iowa. He and Marjorie Denekas were married on April 2, 1948 in Buckeye, Iowa. He operated his own trucking and shelling business, and also farmed. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Buckeye, Iowa. He also served in the Army during World War II. Arnold O. Bessman, age 65, passed away on Saturday; June 9, 1990 at the Dows Care Center in Dows. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife, Marjorie; one son
Mike of Alden; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry
(Karen) Niccum of Hampton, and Mrs. Dick
(Susan) Hoppen of Iowa Falls; and eight
grandchildren. Preceding him in death were
his parents, one sister, and one infant
sister. May they rest in peace. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
on Tuesday; June 12, 1990 at Saint paul's Lutheran Church in Buckeye, Iowa with burial in the Buckeye Cemetery. The Reverend John Klieve will officiate. Surls Funeral Home of Alden is in charge of the arrangements.
