James “Jim” Doyle Loden, 72, Tremont Drive, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center, Clarksville, Tenn., following a long illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Larry Purcell and Robert D. Lawrence officiating. Burial will be Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home with Masonic Rites held at 7:00 P.M.

A native of Rhea County, Tenn., he was born Sept. 5, 1936, the son of the late James Miles Loden and Rillie Loden Hamby.

He was retired U.S. Army. He was a member of the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, and the DAV.

He had also worked for Sisk Auto Mall and as a Civil Service employee at Fort Campbell.

He was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Senior Choir.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McCain Loden; two sons, James Doyle Loden Jr., Hopkinsville, and Neil Loden, Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Judy Loden Wasco, Bradenton, Fla.; a step daughter, Donna Roberts Hampton, Spring Hill, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two step grandchildren.
