Death: Jan. 1, 1902

Aged 58 years; a native of New Orleans.

Private, Confederate Army, Civil War, joining at age 16
Served in Co. C, Confederate States Zouave Battalion, Louisiana Infantry and in Holmes Battery, Louisiana Artillery.
Taken prisoner and exchanged at war's end or shortly before.

Returning from the war he became a member of Pelican No. 4 and was subsequently foreman of the company. Secretary of the Firemen's Charitable Association for a time. He was also an officer and subsequently a sergeant on the force, but resigned when the Shakspeare administration took over.

At the time of his death he was clerk in Recorder Aucoin's court.
