SOLDIER RITES AT BLOOMINGTON
Cpl. Harold Blum Killed At Cassinio, Italy

Bloomington, Wis. - Services for Cpl. Harold G. Blum, who was killed March 19, 1944, at Cassino, Italy, while a member of a communications company, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Blum, near Bagley. His body was to arrive in Bagley Tuesday morning, to be taken to the Metcalfe funeral home in Bloomington before being removed to the Blum residence. The Bloomington American Legion post will be in charge of the services Thursday and the Rev. R. J. Dahl will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomington cemetery, where the American Legion will conduct military rites. Survivors of Cpl. Blum are his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Blum, of Bagley, Mrs. Edward Geasland and Mrs. Cecil Specht, both of Platteville, and two brothers, Lawrence Blum, of Lancaster, and Leonard Blum of Bloomington.
