Mrs. Sherron Smith Wilson, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 26, 2009 at the local hospital. Sherron was born July 17, 1942 in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Milburn Smith. Sherron was a furniture salesperson with J.D. Kinders and Henredon-Drexel Heritage for many years. She attended Deep Springs Baptist Church. Sherron was a natural salesperson and never met a stranger. She was wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the love of her life. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Leon Wilson of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Eddie Brown of Dalton, GA, Sonya and John Gulledge of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Chris Brown, Meg and Abbie Gulledge; mother, Mrs. Madeline Smith of Dalton, GA; sisters, Annette Souther, Glenda Painter, Donna Stevens and Judy Weaver all of Dalton, GA; brothers, Larry Smith of Macon, GA, Dewayne Smith of Rocky Face, GA, and Ricky Smith of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sherron Smith Wilson will be held Friday morning, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Kidd officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
