Phillip G. Hoefer, 68, died Nov. 30, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Nov. 4, 1938, in Hutchinson, the son of Orval "Hap" and Alma Jean Robison Hoefer. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, living in Great Bend from 1961 to 1972, he worked at Dillon's Food Stores Transportation Division from 1972 to 1998.

He belonged to Westside Baptist Church.

On Jan. 24, 1958, he married Ileine Day in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robbin D. and wife, Debbie, and Scott L., all of Hutchinson; three brothers, Carroll D. and wife, Rose, Hutchinson, Mike and wife, Jill, McPherson, and Patrick and wife, Melva, Sulphur, La.; and five grandchildren, Jade R., Nathaniel D., Eric B, Brandon M. and Ryan S. Hoefer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Elyse B. Hoefer.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastors Eldon Smith, Tim Adrian and Ralph Nevius presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of the mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
