Wilmot Edwards Dies; Services Set Wednesday
Wilmot W. [William Wilmot] Edwards,67, Ceylon, Minn., died Sunday [February 2, 1971] morning as a result of cerebral hemorrhage at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 24, 1904, at Hopper Mills, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. James Edwards. He attended schools at Hopper Mills, Ill., and also at Halfa.

He was married Dec. 16, 1933, to Harriet Gangestad at Sioux Falls, S.D. He farmed all of his life in the Halfa and Ceylon, Minn. area. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ceylon, Minn.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Harriet; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Sabin, Kenyon, Minn., and Mrs. Gordon Gudahl, Fairmont; one step-son, Ervin, of Minneapolis; two brothers, Vernon, Estherville, and Raymond of Armstrong, two sisters, Mrs. Donald White, Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Joseph Durham, Hastings, Neb.; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church at Ceylon with the Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong.

Friends may call at the Goodell Funeral Home in Ceylon beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday until noon on Wednesday, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Goodell Funeral Home of Ceylon is in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 15, 1971)
