PLUMBER DIES ON MONDAY EVENING
John Wilber Butler, 62, husband of Mrs. Elva M. Yohe Butler, Abbottstown, died Monday evening at 6:154 in the Hanover General Hospital where he was a patient since August 5.
Born in New Oxford, a son of the late John W. and Agnes Wolf Butler, he was a plumber and headed the firm of John W. Butler and Sons. Mr. Butler belonged to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Oxford, the Sunday School and the Abbottstown Fire Company.
Surviving besides his widow, are tow sons, Earl W. Butler, Abbottstown and Evan B. Butler, Hanover; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a brother, William H. Butler, Biglerville; Mrs. George Funkhouser, Gettysburg and Mrs. Walter Dugan, Littlestown.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford with Rev. John Z. Martin, his minister, officiating. Interment will be in New Oxford Cemetery.
