Millie Delliah (Howerton) Cuttler, former resident of Kansas City, KS, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, AR. She was 96 years old. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 N. 94th Street Kansas City, KS. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Millie was born on July 24, 1913, to Samuel U.S. Melissus Grant Howerton and Feby Caroline (Carpenter) Howerton in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was the 11th child out of 12 to the couple. On September 19, 1931, she met and married Levi Cuttler in Garland County, Arkansas. They had two children, J.W. Cuttler and Billy Dale Cuttler.
Millie and Levi made their home in Deriks, AR, for many years before moving to Kansas City, KS, in 1953. Millie worked for Krogers Grocery as a meat packer in Kansas City for many years until she retired. For the past six years, Millie lived in Rogers, AR, with her family. Millie enjoyed family and friends and was always quick of wit in a conversation. She saw many changes in her lifetime. She was a grand storyteller with tales of her past experiences. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Cuttler of Rogers, AR; grandson, David Cuttler and wife Karrie of Claremore, OK; granddaughter Sandra Masters and husband Carl of Rogers, AR; and two great-granddaughters Alexis "Lexie" Cuttler and Sydney Cuttler of Claremore, OK.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and her eleven other siblings; her husband Levi Cuttler; and their two children, J.W. Cuttler and Billy Cuttler; and one grandchild Richard Cuttler.
