Floyd W. Geron, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, surrounded by his family at a local hospital.
Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Davis Boulevard Baptist Church, 5408 Davis Blvd., North Richland Hills. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth, with graveside service by Tabernacle Masonic Lodge 1195. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Floyd was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Paris, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends. He was a member of Davis Boulevard Baptist Church, Tabernacle Masonic Lodge 1195, Southside-Polytechnic 378 R.A.M. and past patron of Wedgwood Chapter 756 O.E.S.
Floyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Margaret Claunch Geron; brother, George Geron; sister, Levina Davis; and his parents, Charles and Willie Geron.
Survivors: His wife of 41 years, Edna Audrey Geron; sons, Weldon Geron and his wife, Joanie, and David Geron and his wife, Candis; grandchildren, Margie Gillenwater, Holly Grube and her husband, Nathan, and Brittany Bruno and her husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Zachariah, Levi and Kaleb Gillenwater, and Kendall and Jacob Grube; brothers, William Geron and his wife, Dixie, and Charles Geron and his wife, Edna; sister, Bettye McKay and her husband, Frank; and numerous other family and friends.
