Stephen Haddon and Miss Clara Ellen Crum were united in marriage on the 24th of December 1891 at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Justice of the Piece, W. H. Smay.
SIDMAN - Stephen Haddon, 75, well known farmer, died at 8:45 o'clock Saturday evening at his home at Sidman R. D. He had been a resident in this section for the past 72 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Haddon home by Rev. Moses, pastor of the Mount Olive United Brethren Church, of which the deceased was a member. Burial will take place in Coleman Cemetery under direction of George Brother's, South Fork morticians.
Mr. Haddon was born in Braddock on November 28, 1862, a son of John and Henrietta (Speice) Haddon. The family moved to the Sidman area while he was a child.
Surviving are his widow, the former Clara Crum, and two children, William H. Haddon of Sidman and Mrs. Dessie Miller of Canton, Ohio. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Catherine Colwitz of Sidman; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
