William Henry Howard Jr. married Carrie Almeedie Cobb, daughter of Luther and Abigail B. Cobb)on May 28, 1885 in Tower City,Barnes County, North Dakota. The Rev. Elam S. Preston married them at his home, four miles north of Tower City. They had three children:
1) Grant Austin Howard, born February 8, 1886 in Minnie Lake, Barnes County, North Dakota. Grant died on June 2, 1886 at Minnie Lake, North Dakota.
2) Edith Elizabeth Howard, born June 13, 1889 in Minnie Lake, Barnes County, North Dakota. Edith died on July 31, 1969 at Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada. She married James Henry Rawson on January 4, 1911 at Carrington, North Dakota and had two children: James Howard Rawson (1911-1931) and Harry Edward Rawson(1922-1998). After James Rawson died Edith and Melford "Mike" Lovelien got together and had one son, Ernest Vernon Lovelien, born September 1, 1927 in Mclean County, North Dakota.
3) Leonard William Howard, born July 8, 1893 at Minnie Lake, Barnes County, North Dakota. Leonard died on October 2, 1893 at Minnie Lake, Barnes County, North Dakota.
William Howard's wife, Carrie died on January 11, 1900 at Minnie Lake, Barnes County, North Dakota. He later married Minnie Bell Farnham, who had one son, Paul Miller from a previous marriage.
William and Minnie Bell had four children:
1) Frank William Howard, born August 11, 1902 in Anamoose, North Dakota and died on December 24, 1969 in Harvey, Wells County, North Dakota. Frank was never married.
2) Bernice Ivesta Howard,born on October 29, 1904 in Anamoose, North Dakota and died on September 4, 1906 in
Anamoose, McHenry County, North Dakota.
3) Roger Stanley Howard, born on March 4, 1907 at Anamoose, North Dakota.
4) Marion Minnie Appelt, born on June 2, 1908 in Anamoose, McHenry County, North Dakota and died on December 25, 2008 in Harvey, Wells County, North Dakota. Marion married Edward Appelt on October 16, 1957 in Amamoose, McHenry County, North Dakota. Marion and Ed had no children, but Ed had four children from his previous marriage to Anna Buechle.
