Johnstown Tribune paper Mrs. Rose Hupfer 1935 Hastings, April 2 Mrs. Rose (Hoover) Hupfer, aged 79 died this morning at her home in Elder Township after an illness of a year of heart trouble. Her death occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the day on which her husband Benjamin Hupfer was found dead in bed at his home. Surviving are these children: Mrs. John Kline and Mrs. Barbara Carr, both of Detroit, Mich; Charles Hupfer of Hastings; Anthony, Anna, Benedict and Lawrence Hupfer and Mrs. Edith Beck, all at home; Lucy, wife of Marcellus Anna of Altoona; and Hattie wife of Norman Klidder (Klebba) of Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Hupfer was a sister of Augustine Hoover of Patton, Mrs. Theresa Becker of St. Boniface, Julia, wife of Michael McNulty of Carrolltown, Cecelia, wife of Harry Thomas of St. Boniface, and Ellen wife of John Overberger of Patton. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body has been prepared for burial by H. J. Easly local mortician. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed but burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
