Mary Ruth Ammerman, 85, formerly of Templeton and Kittanning, died Sunday, December 31, 1978, at the Grandview Nursing Home, Clarion. She was born on March 13, 1893 in West Monterey, the daughter of Isaac and Lettifia (McFarland) Snyder. Surviving are a son, Jack W. Ammerman, Rural Valey; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Lettifia) Imel , Tionesta; three brothers, Winan Snyder, Kent, OH, Robert Snyder, Parker, and William Snyder, West Monterey; a sister Mrs. George (Lena) Miller, of Knoch; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her husband Charles M. Ammerman, a son Mason and three sisters are deceased. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning, where service will be held at 2 p.m Friday by the Rev. John Stivenson, pastor of the Rural Valley Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
