John believed in hard, honest work, and enjoyed garden-ing, flowers, travel and camping. He had served as the Chief of Police in Gunnison, detective for Salt Lake City, and worked for the Dept. of Transportation for the State of Utah. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy.
Survived. by his wife, Melba, Sandy; children, Patricia Beemus, Mt. Pleasant, Larry Charles Beemus, John Robert (Dayva), Sandy; stepchildren, Dee James (Barbara) Anderson, Sandy, Scott Stewart Anderson, St. George; Jerilyn Sant, Perrysburg, OH, Michelle(Lynn) Whitaker, Taylorsville, Marvin W. (Angie) Anderson, Riverton, Heidi Melba Anderson, Draper; l9 grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary, and all of his other parents, brothers and sisters, except nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wed. at the Mt. Jordan LDS 2nd Ward chapel, 933l S. 300 E., where friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tues. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery. Directors, Broomhead Funeral Home.
