Ruth M. Black, 86, of Danville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Hill Crest Nursing Home in Owensboro, Ky.
She was born June 14, 1926 in Mellott, Indiana to George William and Eva E. Newkirk Haxton. She married Robert S. Black May 9, 1948. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son, Lowell; two daughters, Dorothy and Nancy and a brother, Dale Haxton.
She is survived by her four children, James (Tia) Black, Dennis (Laura) Black, Karl (Jeanine) Black and Joetta (Denny) Lee; a sister-in-law, Gladys Haxton; eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
