Democrat And Leader, Thursday, August 25, 1949 --
Ludwig Weigandt, 50, 556 Seventh Avenue South, an inspector for the International Harvester Co., in East Moline, died suddenly Wednesday night in Pontiac, Mich., where he was vacationing with his wife. The body is to be brought to the Snell funeral home Thursday night, but funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Mr. Weigandt was born Oct. 5, 1898 in Moline and lived there, in South Dakota, and in Port Byron several years before moving to Clinton, nine years ago. He was married June 20, 1917, to Ella Weber in Murdo, S. D.
She survives with two daughters, Sylvia, at home, and Mrs. Goldie Mathiessen, Elvira, Ia., and one son, Lloyd, at home.
