Alfred Tillman Johnson, 96, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Hillside Healthcare Center in Yorkville, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Plattville Lutheran Church, 5475 W. Bell Rd, Minooka, IL. Friends may visit from 4 until 7 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL. Alfred Tillman Johnson, age 96, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Hillside Healthcare Center in Yorkville, IL. He was born on January 24, 1910 in Grundy County, IL, the son of Samuel and Alma (Olson) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was united in marriage on June 17, 1933 in Springfield, IL to the former Eva Fern Snodgrass, and they spent 54 happy years of their lives together until her passing in 1987. He was a long-time member of the Plattville Lutheran Church in Minooka, IL. For many years, Alfred was a hard-working truck driver for Johnson Brothers, having hauled many types of materials, including tomatoes, grain, lumber, livestock and bottled gas. He was a living husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his three daughters, Sharon Lee (Larry) Stout of Montgomery, IL, Carolyn (Bill) Behrens of Newark, IL and Renaye White of Yorkville, IL; his eight grandchildren, Shane Stout, Sheri Lee (Daniel Koehler, Kevin, Kirk (Barbara), Kent and Kelly Behrens, David and Philip White; his 18 great-grandchildren, Chad White, Hayden White, Kyle Behrens, Matthews Behrens, Jessica Behrens, Michael Behrens, Tina Behrens, Megan Seifrid, Stefan Behrens, Ryan Pinner, Brittney Pinner, Adam Stout, Aaron Stout, Erin (RIcky) Perez, Micah Koehler, Benjamin Koehler, Josiah Koehler and Nicholas Behrens; his three great-grant-grandchildren, Taniea Tarver, Gabrile Perez and Kylie Perez; his brothers, Vernon C. (Anna Mae) Johnson of Minnesota and Ervin (Dorothy) Johnson of Newark, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Alma Johnson; his wife, Eva Fern Johnson; his sister, Ardelia Johnson; and his two grandchildren, Sonja Marie Stout and Chad Jeremy White.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the Plattville Lutheran Church, 5475 W. Bell Rd., Minooka, IL, with Pastor Bret L. Reedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Plattville Lutheran Cemetery, Minooka, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy, Yorkville, IL.
