Elizabeth was born in Washburn, N.D. t Jacob and Lizzie Bauer. She married John Baker in 1931 and moved to the Dalles in 1932 and then to Portland in 1943.
She worked for Grigby Bros. Paper Box Manufacturers for almost 30 years. She and John Belonged to the Little Guys and Dolls for several years and loved to entertain. After her husband's death, she joined the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She loved to dance with her long time friend and partner, Alex Hoff.
She is Survived by her son, Clarence Baker of Tigard; her daughter, Eunice Hooker of Portland; two brothers in North Dakota; and sister in Milwaukie; two granddaughters; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchidren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her friend, Alex; one brother; one sister; and her grandson.
Services will be Thursday, Juy 26, 11a.m. at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline blvd., Portland.
