PATRICIA "PATTY" ANN SHERRILL
Patricia Ann Amos Sherrill of Boerne, Texas passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 20, 1949, to Gerald Leon Amos and Doris Vivian Efurd Amos, Patricia, so lovingly called Patty, was a loving wife, mother, sister and active grandmother. Patty's real estate career at the family business, Word Sherrill Realtors and Appraisal Company, allowed her many wonderful hours with her husband driving around the Hill Country. She chose to spend many of her days outside gardening and loved the springtime. Many weekends you could find her watching her sons; either cheering on Word at a local rodeo or peeking at Sterling's many construction projects. As with her garden, she loved watching her grandchildren grow and took great pride in her family. Patty was preceded in death by her beloved father Gerald Leon Amos Sr., her son Jeffery Sherrill, her father-in-law Word Bell Sherrill Sr., and her mother-in-law Joyce Sherrill. Patty is survived by: her husband, Word Bell Sherrill, Jr.; her mother Doris Vivian Efurd Amos; her sons Word Bell Sherrill III and his wife Tori, and Sterling Scott Sherrill and his wife Bonnie; her sister Brenda Davis and her husband John; her brother Buster Amos and his wife Joanne; her daughters Kristi Sherrill Hoyl and her husband Ron, Jill Sherrill, and Melissa Sherrill Martin and her husband Ross; and her sisters-in-law Linda Jacobs and her husband Phillip, and Martha Eaken and her husband Jimmy. "Pat Pat" had a deep love for her grandchildren: Renee Ramirez, Daniel Sherrill, Sara Ayala, James Sherrill, Kimberly Sherrill, Alex Hoyl, James Vaughan, Luke Hoyl, Sydney Hoyl, Shelby Sherrill, Jillian Sherrill, Sterling Sherrill Jr., Lila Sherrill, and Ella Sherrill. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 5:30-7 PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 315 Rosewood Avenue, Boerne, Texas 78006. Interment will follow at the Boerne Cemetery.
