Rites today

Fred H. Borgwardt, former Homewood - Village president died suddenly Tuesday in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. today at Cordt Colonial funeral home. Dr. Christopher T. Garriott, pastor of St. Paul Community church, will officiate and interment will be in Oak Lawn cemetery.

Mr. Borgwardt was president of the village for 8 years and also served as a trustee for seven years.

Born April 27,1892 in Homewood, he lived here all his life.

He was employed as an auditor for James T.Wilkes and company. He was also a member of Homewood IOOF Lodge 1026.

He lived at 2101 183rd street.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Wahl of Homewood, one son Norman F. of Harvey; a sister Mrs. Alvina Vincent of Homewood, and 5 grand children.

He was proceeded in death by a sister , Mrs. Minnie Pfiefer and a brother Henry
