Virginia Beach-Mrs. Katherine Sawyer Bonney, 65, of 4500 Thoroughgood Drive, died Sunday in a hospital.
A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., she lived here most of her life. She was the wife of Arnold Hope Bonney Sr., and the daughter of Laura Banks Sawyer. She was a Methodist.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Katherine B. Coffman of Norfolk, Mrs. Joyce B. Sutton of Napa, Calif., and Mrs. Lyle B. Hurst of Virginia Beach; a son, Arnold H. Bonney Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Marion S. Williams of Norfolk; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home by the Rev. James E. Jones Jr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
