Noble Birch was born to Fred and Dovvie Birch in 1917. He was my uncle, and my Dad's brother. He passed away at 57 years old of heart problems, shortly after his father died.
He left behind his wife, Geraldine (Gerry); three sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Gene, Ray and Walter Birch; three sisters, Golda, Floretta (Fluff),and Ellen; and many nieces and nephews.
I absolutely loved to visit my Uncle Noble(I called him Uncle Bobo, as I couldn't say Noble when I was very young)and Aunt Gerry! They lived on a farm, way out in the country. We spent many happy hours playing in the hay mows and gardens. Uncle Noble made us kids an old tire swing, which was hung right in the biggest tree in their front yard. When I had my first child, in 1972, Uncle Noble hand made a stroller seat cover for her. I still have it, and cherish it! He also polished rocks in his spare time before he passed away. I have a pair of earrings he made me. Uncle Noble hunted, fished, and all those things you did to get by in those days. I sure do miss him!
