Birth: Sep. 20, 1852
Dane County
Wisconsin, USA
Death: Dec. 13, 1937
St. Croix County
Wisconsin, USA

Mrs. J. H. T. Lee, a resident of Hudson, for several years, died at her home on Sixth Street, Hudson at 2 a.m., Monday, December 13, after a long illness. She had been in poor health the past few years, but was cheerful and patient at all times, resting in the blessed hope of eternal life, believing in Jesus as her only Savior and Redeemer. She was the wife of Rev. J. H. T. Lee who served Lutheran pastorates at Hudson and at Deer Park for many years before he retired from active ministerial service a few years ago.
Julia Lee, nee Linde, was born near De Forest, Wisconsin, on September 20, 1852. Her parents, John and Ingeborg Linde, were pioneer residents of Dane County. She was the oldest of twelve children. She was still a young girl when her mother passed away and she had to take her mother's place in the home.
She was baptized and confirmed by the venerable Rev. H. A. Preus. On August 17, 1886, she was married to Rev. Mr. Lee with whom she enjoyed a happy home for more than fifty-one years. She will be deeply mourned by her bereaved husband and two sisters, Mrs. L. Naeseth of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, and Mrs. S. L. Grinde, of De Forest, Wisconsin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her body lay in state at the Jasper Funeral Home until 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, December 15, when services were held from the Bethel Lutheran Church. Services were conducted by Rev. Oscar Thompson, assisted by Rev. C. W. Almen of Zion Church, Rev. Mr. Holland, of Star Prairie and Rev. Mr. Alver of Dee Park. Interment was made in the Willow River Cemetery. The pallbearers were Hans Hanson, Olaf Stavrum, Andrew Sangslund, Harry Olson, Oscar Olson and Albert Olson. (The De Forest Times, De Forest, Wisconsin, December 31, 1937, Page 1, Column 5)
