He married Margaret Lorene Huffman on October 1, 1939 in Jacksboro, Texas. He was a retired carpenter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters and a brother; a daughter Barbara Myers Meeks; a grandson Michael Horn; a great grandaughter Jennifer Boyd and many other nieces and nephews.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife Margaret Swaim; his children Jerry Swaim and wife Connie of Granbury, Texas, Kenneth Swaim and wife Joyce of Fort Worth, Margaret Holstein and husband Rick of Jacksboro, Kay Watkins of Manchaca, Texas and Danny Horn and wife Reisha; 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many other extended family members and friends.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday July 6, 2010 from 7-8 pm at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas.
Services will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 at Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksboro, Texas with Bro. Gary Zeitler officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
