Last Monday afternoon at about 3 o'clock, Mr. W.H. Cook, a highly respected citizen of near this city died, after an extended illness of several months with lung trouble. His remains were interred Tuesday afternoon in Brookside Cemetery, in the presence of a large and sorrowful assembly of relatives and friends. Rev. J.S. Gatton preached the funeral discourse at the home of the deceased.
Mr. Cook was an exemplary citizen and was an honest, honorable, upright christian gentleman, loved and highly respected by all who knew him. He was born February 28, 1845, and was married to Miss Josie Price, of Russell county, in 1868, and of this union two children survive him. He was married to Miss Kate Romine in 1889. They have one little boy.
He professed Christ, 1894, and united with the Campbellsville Baptist church in March 1895. To his bereaved and affectionate wife, children, and relatives, we extend our deepest sympathy.
