Elwood-Mrs. Maude P. Hancher, 73, 2705 N. C. St., died late Saturday in a hospital at Logansport following several weeks' illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Copher and Fesler funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, by the Rev. Barry M. Jones, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Surviving are three sons, Ervin E. Hancher, and Frederick P. Hancher, Elwood; and William Hancher, Benton Harbor, Mich.,; one brother, Pern Fleetwood in California; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs Hancher was born in Tipton County Oct 22 1880, a daugher of Mr and Mrs Samuel Fleetwood. She was reared by Dannie and Caroline Farran. She was married in 1902 to Clarence O. Hancher, who died in 1929.

Mrs Hancher was a retired employee of the Leeson store here and a member of the Hazel Dell Church.
