Graveside funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. in the West Side District Cemetery for lifelong West Side resident, Robert Edwin Beebe, 70. The pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Beebe was born in Shale, Kern Conty, California on December 27, 1914 and passed away in a Bakersfield Hospital on Saturday morning.
He attended schools on the West Side and graduated from Maricopa High School and attended the University of California at Berkeley. During World War II,he served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Belridge Oil Company employee, having worked as a petroleum engineer for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Erle Lou Beebe and Eva Alice Crowe Beebe, his wife, Lockie Nell, in 1961 and by his wife, Joan, in 1981. his brother, Joe Beebe, also preceded him in death in 1983. Mr. Beebe's survivors include his brothers and their wives, his two step-sons, his nephew, and a host of friends and other relatives.
Those who wish may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday until 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. to pay their respects.
