Henrietta F. "Etta" Fournier, 83, of Honeysuckle Lane Mishawaka, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 26, in Hospice House in South Bend.

Henrietta was born on November 3, 1922, in South Bend, as the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Jankowski) Bankowski. Henrietta was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Kempf on November 14, 2005; a sister, Regina Kazda; and a brother, Raymond. As Henrietta Bankowski in Mishawaka she married Richard Zalas, who proceeded her in death in 1966. On January 4, 1971, she married Joseph Fournier, who also preceded her in death on March 21, 1997.

Henrietta is survived by a daughter, Judie (William) Dalton of Granger; two sons, Ken (Dianah) Zalas of South Bend, IN, and Gary (Jackie) Zalas of Chesapeake, VA; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; five sisters, Jean Kaczorowski of South Bend, Claire Lupa of South Bend, Helen Pierce of South Bend, Dolly Mull of Arizona and Alice DeBel of Mishawaka; two brothers, Don Bankowski of Arizona and Kelly Bankowski of South Bend.

Henrietta was in production work at Excel Corp. in Elkhart. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #599, Elkhart. She was a member of Queen of Peace Church and a member of the Widows Club at the church. Henrietta loved gardening and playing BINGO, and she enjoyed collecting angels.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2nd, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 3rd, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with the Rev. Richard Hire officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
