Rex Franklin Allen, 47, died Wednesday at 5 a.m. at Crestview Nursing Home in Throckmorton. He had been ill for several years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Throckmorton Church of Christ at 3 p.m. with minister Will Scott officiating. Burial will be in Throckmorton Cemetery under direction of Merriman Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 20, 1919 in Throckmorton County, he served in World War II. He was a rancher.
Survivors include the wife, of Throckmorton; two sons, Curtis and Marshall Lee, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. Hill Allen of Throckmorton; three brothers, Taylor of Goree, Mark of Clarendon and Rhoades of Munday; three sisters, Mrs. Eldon Moore of Goree, Mrs. Foster Price of Sterling City and Mrs. Thanton D. Liles Jr. of Throckmorton.
Pallbearers will be Norman McCluskey, Quein Cogburn, Jimmy Meng, Ben Foster, D.G. Smith, Sam Rob David, Woodrow Timms and Bill Yates.
