Judge Fred Brown was born on a farm named Brown Valley in Navarro Co, TX. He was the son of John Thomas Brown and Mary Emma McFadden Brown.
He served in the military during WWI and WWII.

DIES SUNDAY EVE
J Fred Brown, 75, Veteran of World War II, died in Overall Morris Memorial Hostipal at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 1971. Funeral services will be held in Stevens Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Ray E Martin, pastor of Valera Baptist Church, officiating. Mr Brown, son of the late Mr.and Mrs.Johnny T. Brown, was born in Montford, Texas, August 6, 1895. Surviving him are four nephews, Harold and Hugh Wheat of Gouldbusk, and Joe and David Brown of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and three nieces, Mrs. J.H. Richardson of San Angelo; Mrs Preston Weaver of Waco; and Mrs. Vernon Rowe of Santa Anna. Interment will be in Coleman City Cemetery under direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
