James D. Bodeis Sr., age 57, of Mayville, MI passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Spring of Life Community Church in Mayville, with Pastor Randy Hotchkiss officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8 P.M. Friday, May 6, 2011, 11 A.M. – 8 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, and 2 P.M. until time of the service Sunday at the church. Internment will take place at Watertown Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. James was born January 26, 1954 in Caro, MI to Walter Louis and Gwendolyn Lucille (Guthrie) Bodeis. He graduated from Mayville High School class of 1972, and married Rebecca Springsteen December 2, 1972 at Pleasant View Free Methodist Church. James was a dairy farmer all his life, and a semi-truck driver for thirty years. He loved his grandchildren, going out for dinner, auctions, being with his friends, and was a great story teller. James is survived by his wife Rebecca, one son; James D. (Wendy) Bodeis Jr. of Mayville, three daughters; Brandy (Joshua) Sabourin of Mt. Morris, Bridgette Bodeis (Fiancé Curtis Elenbaum) of Caro, Brittany Bodeis of Burton, one brother; Donald Bodeis of Mayville, one sister; Norma (Peter) Sayers of Caro, four grandchildren; Danielle, J.D., David, Justin, and special companion Sheba. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Mariann in 1950, and daughter; Sara.
