CLAUDE A. BLANCHARD, 65
CRYSTAL - Claude A. Blanchard, 65, operator of the stockyard on M66 between Sheridan and Stanton, died in Butterworth Hospital this morning.
Mr. Blanchard had lived in Crystal 42 years. He was a farmer and stock buyer, working with the stockyard the past 20 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Crystal and the Farm Bureau.
Mr. Blanchard was born Sept. 5, 1889 in Sand Lake. He married the former Lottie Roose in 1909. She survives.

Surviving besides his wife are five daughters, Mrs. Ralph Jackson of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Florence Dickinson, Mrs. Thomas Miller and Mrs. Vivian Regis, all of Lansing, and Mrs. Phyllis Thomas of Ithaca; four son, Melvin of Crystal, Donald and Theodore of Sheridan and Wendell of Crystal.
There are two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lee of Lansing and Mrs. Marrie McGrath of Colorado; one brother, Harley of Benton Harbor, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Stebbins Funeral Home, Sheridan. The Rev. Dean Kennedy of Crystal will officiate.
Burial will be in Crystal Cemetery.
