Mr. Day was a native of Amite county and was well known. It is probable that he will be carried back to Amite county for burial, but funeral services are as yet incomplete pending arrival of his sons.
Mr. Day is survived by his wife; seven sons, Conn Day of Parchman, Miss., Grover Day of Sunflower, Miss., Eddiceton Day of Jackson, Morris Day of Waynesboro, Jonathan and Hampton Day, Jr., of Amite county and Sam Day of McComb; one daughter, Mrs. Mack K. Sterling of McComb, and other relatives.
