He was born October 24, 1918, the son of John and Theresa (Muffinbier) Drescher in Monitor, Oregon.
Larry was a pilot in the Army Air Corp during World War II, and a proud veteran.
He married Sara Santee on August 19, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sarah of Great Bend, daughters: Ann and husband Roy Messmore of Aurora, CO, Mary Drescher-Upton of Newton, KS, Sarah "Sally" Drescher of Overland Park, KS, sons: Jim and wife Linda Drescher of Justin, TX, John and wife Ruth Ann Drescher of Bryan, TX, Joe and wife Glennda Drescher of Great Bend, KS, Charles Drescher of Great Bend, KS, Phil and wife Carla Drescher of Olathe, KS, Kevin and wife Kelly Drescher of Shawnee, KS, 10 brothers and sisters, 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 PM with a Vigil Service following at 7 PM at Prince of Peace at St. Rose Church in Great Bend.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Prince of Peace at St. Rose Church with Father Reginald A. Urban officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Belt Memorial Park in Great Bend.
Memorials may be designated for Prince of Peace Catholic Church or Golden Belt Memorial Park Veterans' Memorial in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
