SABINE SCHAUER 1735 ?, both of the Palatinate in Germany

Listed with Palatinates who arrived on the Brig Lydia, documented by Capt. Gardner Hammond, from Amsterdam. October 29th 1785 with parents and siblings

Served as a private in the Army for the War of 1812, from Feb 15 to Mar 23, 1814

Land records of Beaver and Lawrence Counties seem to indicate that there were only 10 children as the 100 acres referred to as the estate of Jacob Shaffer was divided into 10 parcels of 10 acres each. This land eventually became the property of the son Abraham Shaffer.

Note: Grave relocated from Old Methodist to Unity. After flooding in Unity Cemetery, numerous headstones were relocated from Unity Cemetery at Unity Baptist Church to a small lot across Old Route 19, behind a stand of pine trees.
