Maurice Aulton Canoles, 92, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006. He was born April 19, 1913, in Relay, Md., son of the late Martha Arealia Lochstampfor and George Oewey Canoles. He is survived by his two daughters, Jane E. Miller of Leesburg, Fla., and Maura Lee Del Vecchio of Jamestown; along with six grandchildren, Robin, Jamie and Kristi Miller, and Joey, Mattie and Jenny Del Vecchio; and also five great-grandchildren. He was a machinist supervisor with Black & Decker for 30 years, prior to owning and operating Portable Tool Repair Shop for 12 years in Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
