Mrs. Ruth Ishee
It was the writer's sad privilege to attend the funeral services held at Pleasant Home Church, Thursday, in memory of the deceased, Mrs. Ruth Moss Ishee.
She had been a sufferer of pneumonia several days past but her condition was not thought serious at first. Only the last day or so were serious reflections and foreboding as to her condition entertained.
While her sufferings were intense, and death seemed to stare her in the face, she endured with great fortitude, the dread disease.
She had mothered twin babies recently and was apparently in the bloom of health when this fatal disease crossed her pathway.
Those who knew her best said she was a model Christian girl, a dutiful, lovable daughter and an affectionate and devoted wife and mother.
Not a stain of sin ever left its ravages upon her but she was more than conqueror through all her trials. She always looked at the bright side of things and when her husband would grow despondent, her gentle loving whisper of, "All is well," was heard. She died as she had lived; in the full triumphs of a living faith in God and eternity.
Mrs. Ishee was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Moss. Eight years ago she became the wife of William T. Ishee. She leaves her husband, four children, a father and a host of near relatives to mourn her decease.
She had been a member of Pleasant Home Baptist church for eight years. Bro. Gilmore who baptized her and Bro. Clark who solemnized the rites of matrimony between her and William T. Ishee, jointly conducted the last sad rites.
The writer closed the services at the cemetery. There were present more than 300 people to witness the obsequies held in memory of daughter, wife, mother, and sister in Christ.
Thus all that was mortal of Ruth Moss Ishee was laid to rest to wait God's resurrection call.
God bless you, broken-hearted husband and motherless babes. T. E. Waldrup.
