Clyde Sparks, 72, of 722 E Fifth St. died of a heart attack Monday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, and burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Sparks, a retired truck driver for the Eastside fish market, was born in Cincinnati, Ia., and lived in Des Moines most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; five daughters, Jean Sorensen, Sharon Angell, Cindy Miller, and Gail Sparks, all of Des Moines, and Judy McMillen of Lovilia; two sons, Russell and David, and a sister Annabelle Cummings, all of Des Moines; 30 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 22 a.m. today and until service time at the funearal home.
