The daughter of Johan Frederick and Gustava
Landstrom. She was confirmed in the State Church. Following the death of her mother, she left Sweden, and came to Chicago to make her home with her sister. She was but 15» years of age at that time. During her residence in the city, she often visited in DeKalb with another sister, Mrs. Alfred Westerberg.
On April 25; 1888, she became the bride of Theodore Anderson of Afton Township and they farmed in Milan township on their property until 1905, when they moved to DeKalb. Mr. Anderson
was in business in that city until the time of his death in 1922. Mrs. Anderson possessed the fine traits of character that made her an ideal wife and mother, also a trustworthy friend. She was a devout member of the First Lutheran church in DeKalb for years, and was active in all of its organizations until ill health prevented her to continue. Her demise is mourned by her five children, Mrs. Edward E. Swanson of Sycamore, Miss Dora Anderson and Mrs. Cyrus B.Gonterman of DeKalb, Mrs. George F. Voss of Joliet and Theodore Anderson of Chicago.
