Harold E. Antle, 83, of Thompson Drive died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Antle retired in 1983 from Cummins Engine Co. where he worked as a machinist for 33 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member and former elder at World of Pentecost and a member of Diesel Workers Union.
He enjoyed gardening.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at World of Pentecost with the Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or World of Pentecost.

Born in Campbellsville, Ky., April 25, 1921, Mr. Antle was the son of Claude and Lou Ella Biggs Antle. He married Amanda I. Combs Dec. 24, 1941.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Doug Antle of Coral Springs, Fla., and Larry Antle of Columbus; a sister, Nan Biggs of Illinois; grandchildren, Charmaine Horan, Bryan Antle and Holly Erskine, all of Coral Springs, and Sydell Gant and Darren Antle, both of Columbus; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
